A gallery built for phones
Photos post between 9 and noon, and most families look on a phone. Days are grouped, swipeable, and every photo saves to a camera roll in a tap or two.
PhotoA concept for Liza, Eden and the Hatikvah office
A working concept, built for how camp actually runs. Staff post a day in one screen, families browse it beautifully on any phone, and everyone can get a text or email the moment new photos are up. It works alongside the current site and parent logins, and the fresh look can spread as far as camp wants it to.
A working concept, built by Strohl.dev. The sample images are illustrations, not campers. Real photos would stay behind your parent login.
Photos post between 9 and noon, and most families look on a phone. Days are grouped, swipeable, and every photo saves to a camera roll in a tap or two.
The moment a day goes live, families who opted in get a text or an email. No more wondering when the pictures are up, and it is fully Shabbat-aware.
The engine arrives wearing a modern, mobile-first take on camp's brand. If Liza and Eden like the direction, the rest of the site can match, as much or as little as they want.
The parent view
Days run newest first. The newest day is marked. Tap any photo to open it full screen, then swipe straight through the day.
On an iPhone, tap a photo then Save, or press and hold it to add it straight to your camera roll. The handbook already invites you to download photos and send them to loved ones. This makes that a two-tap job, aunts and uncles included.
New in this concept
Set once at registration. Text, email, or both. The message goes out automatically the second your staff publish a day.
Using the camp's own location on Kalamalka Lake. This week that is 8:23pm Friday until 9:30pm Saturday. Photos still go up. The phone just stays quiet.
Nothing is sent from this concept page. This is a preview of how the setting would work inside your existing parent account.
What arrives
The camp side
Drop the day's photos in, check the date, publish. The gallery updates itself and families are notified automatically. One screen, under a minute.
Drag today's photos here
or tap to choose from your computer. Try it, the files stay on your device.
No photos are posted on Shabbat, and that stays true. Staff stage Friday's photos before candle lighting, and the camp chooses what happens next. Set once, like a Shabbat timer.
This concept was built by Dan Strohl, a Hatikvah parent who designs websites for a living. It is an idea, offered with love for camp. If the direction is interesting, it can be wired into the existing site and parent logins as much or as little as you like.
